can you engrave hard wood with an airgraver ?

does anyone have any examples of work or personal experience with this ?

i would like a tool that will allow me to engrave on wood and metal

the airgraver looks great but i can not see any wood engravings

Did you ever get those dies cut Steve? I know you've been busy for the past few years but do you really need all that sleep, every day? :biggrin[1]: Seriously, have you made any progress on them?

Bob, Made several of the dies. Got set aside as I was reworking the press.

I can say I am an expert about sitting things aside, I can't say that I've any excuse other than distraction and lack of interest. However; I can say your prototype is very nice to look at and I'm sure the end product will be worth waiting for. A man with so much talent such as yourself must have a some difficulty deciding how your time is best applied. :cheers2[1]:

Old Rosie, "wood engraving" is done in the end grain, using basically normal gravers, and used to make prints (not to be confused with block prints from wood cuts cross-grain). It sounds like you are asking about wood carving more than engraving, but the airgraver should work well for either.
