Having purchased the airgraver from Steve for use on clocks, it seems a natural progression to also join the forum.
I am a Clockmaker learning to engrave so have nothing to show yet but I suspect that engraving will become my hobby more than anything else. Steve has been a great help but I need guidance on learning this new skill, I will appreciate any help that enyone can give me. Similarly, I am happy to advise others on aspects of clock engraving.
Thanks again Steve.

Thanks Barry but don't offer me help so easily - I'll never give you any peace! Are there any online videos apart from the ones that Steve has done?

Welcome Clockmaker.
Maybe you can show us some clock engraving or the clock you make. As I know, there are some members here also interesting in clock making or watch making, at least I am one of them. I am a member of BHI, DLC 1'st year student.

It seems to me Steve's online tutorial video is the only and the very best that you can find on the internet. The world's best! Not only free but also the quality is very good, the demonstration is very clear and easy to understand.....
He didn't sell his knowledge of engraving but just contribution to the community, I believe he can open an engraving training center and earn a lot of money (now the marketing price for learning engraving can be very expensive, great profit) but he didn't, this is why I admir and respect him (and also other great engravers in this forum who willing to teach the others) so much.

Enjoy the forum and Happy 2008!

Thanks Zernike.
Good luck with the BHI course, it really is the only one worth bothering with in my opinion. I have just taken on another apprentice and will be enrolling him very soon.
