I mean let the air out at the end of the day? Or maybe it doesn't make any difference and I am just overthinking things as always.

Thanks.

Thanks SE, I was wondering if makes any difference. I don't drain the whole compressor but I would the Airgraver itself if it is important to do so.

Hi Patrice, Can you explain what you mean to purge the airgraver? Just shut the switch off at the regulator to turn off. You can take the handpiece tubing off but that wouldn't let any more air out then shutting the air pressure off to it. If you have a foot control airgraver and you shut the switch off the tool will use up the left over air pressure in the line until it stops and the pressure is zero.

Sorry Steve, that's what I meant. I shut off the switch when I am done but don't always depress the pedal to get the last or the air out until the hand piece stops pulsing. I was wondering if that makes any difference or if the air just simply bleeds off by itself over time.

I always turn the pressure gauge to zero when I'm finished for the day.

Hi Patrice, If you wait long enough the left over air will be used up from the idle. So it will all get out stepping on the pedal or not. I sometimes leave it idling all night on the bench. Don't mean to but just forget to shut shut off with the on/off toggle.

Hi Patrice
Ever since I was a young lad I always have emptied the compressor at the end of work as a habit.
Air left in the tank can condense and collect moisture also.Winter does not help either.
