Annealed Silver

All other things being equal: type of metal, thickness, finish, but one piece is dead soft the other hard, should there be a big difference in how they engrave using the same graver, hand pressure, handpiece settings etc.? For me this seems to be the case, at least with sterling silver. Thanks...Rob

For my part I have not done the test with a graver, but I have used a jewelery saw to cut annealed and hardened copper and silver and there are differences
