Rifle part are from a David Miller Model 70.
The buckel is 24 K wire inlayed and has the customers initial intergrated into the vine pattern.

Absolutly beautiful and flawless work Kurt. It was good to see you at the Engrave-In. I keep thinking how nice your 97 Winchester would be with my other SASS guns.

Hi Rodger,
I had a great time at the engrave-in. Can't wait for the next one.
Many thanks to Scott and Rhonda. Sorry Rodger I think that '97 will have a new home soon, but I have a couple of other 97's and a '93 .

Inspiring, I love the contrast in the pronghorn grip cap.... Would love to, but am scared to know how much of an investment in gold you have there... : ) If you get a chance to take some or acquire some good pics of the finished rifle, please post em..... Your friend, Jim

Jim,
The rifle is not yet finished.
To date she has sucked up over 14 OZ. of 24K wire.:whoo:
I'm guessing that it will take 4 to 6 OZ more to finish it.:banghead:

Very different style Kurt. It looks excellent. That is a LOT of gold wire!
I didn't get a chance to talk to you much at the Engrave-In but it was a pleasure meeting you.
I haven't put the cool graver handle you gave out into service yet as I use air power but I do like it.
Thanks,
Peter
so wait, the entire gold background is done with wire? Thats very interesting....awesome work by the way!
