Cool, I especially like the traditional scroll on the cylinder, but interesting use of the scale pattern.... gotta love a handgun with a couger on it.

Cool Otto
I was kicking around usingthe scale on my S&W
The cylinder looks great did you darken that up with cold blue?

No, I used black 1-Shot lettering enamel. I sandblasted the cylinder. The rest of the pistol had a soft bead blast. I polished the shiny areas. I thought the different textures would have a nice look.

I wish you were close by I would like to see how you go through that process. Seriously. I think it looks real good. Everything pops. Great contrast ratios. Cylinder just rocks! I love the way the scrolls light up against the animals. Great job on the critters too. Now if i can get that effect in some of my coins and knives I will be happy. Your treatment of the piece reminds me of that watch SL has on his site. If you want to elborate more on the process, feel free to write me a book here or back channel.

so I assume you masked off the areas you did not want to be blasted or did you just blast the whole cylinder? Nice Job. I like the shading you did on the leaves. That is something I need to work on.

Neil:)
