Hi everybody
I am new to this forum. I am retired goldsmith with a basic knowledge
of push-engraving. I am a knifemaker too and want to learn engraving on steel. I have a GRS system3 which I used to close bezels on cabochone
settings.I understand that this device is too crude for engraving and
I am considering buying Artisan Airgraver.Question : the foot-control
of system3 could it be used with the Artisan ?.I 'll be very grateful
of your advice. Victor

I believe you can use the foot pedal.Im sure some body more knowledgeable will comment.I highly recommend you get the Classic as it fully adjustable and you'll never need to buy another engraving system. It is well worth saving up for!:welcome[1]:

Victor, The System3 is not the way to go,you will find the Classic is best hand piece to start with. Email Steve there may be someone in Finland that you can get together with that has a Classic for you to try. J.J.Roberts :thumb[1]:

Hi Victor, The system3 pedal won't work with the Artisan or Classic AirGravers. The valve in the AirGraver foot control is designed to meter and control very low cfm because the AirGraver doesn't use a lot of air or CO2 volume. Also there is an idle circuit portion in the valve that works with the idle needle valve.
