Barry,

Do you ever use that lathe or is it just there for looks.:D That wall looks awful clean with the pics hanging on it and such.

I thought the same thing as Ray....looks more like an industrial museum.:D

Really cool idea. It helps to visualize, especially some of the 3d effects, and with a modest tweak of a curve here or there, you can achieve entirely new looks. Get a shape or scroll pattern you like, and copy it.

Unless you have discovered some way of transfering a clay pattern to metal! :D

And I must agree about the lathe. That has got to be for display only. Otherwise, the wall behind the chuck would have a nice vertical line, and there'd be at least a few chips on the bed!

The Lathe gets used, usually for cutting barrel bands. Here is a pic of it actually being used for choke honing.
And the clay can be transfered, take a pic, print and transfer!, but I have never actually done that, hehe...

Yes Rich, please visit anytime. The fish are nearby, and I actually had a nice 300lb black bear run across the road near my house this morning while I was driving around. I grabbed the cam out of the back of the Benz and chased it the bear into the woods trying to get a pic, but, no luck :(
