Hi, Roger!

The German engraver Anke Brandt has a new website, http://trollstova.no,
just type "trollstova" through Bing and it will pop up. English version in the right hand corner. She is just working on a Hawken rifle now, we will send you some pics when it is finished!

All the best,
Alf Helland, gunsmith on the west coast of Norway.

Roger I have a 1960 Superposed that was done by Pachmayr Gun Works. The engraving is not signed which I understand is common with these guns. I contacted Angelo Bee and he was pretty sure it was pobably done by Arnold Griebel but I would also like to get your opinion if you would be so kind. I did contact Pachmayr and was told that all of the records on these guns were lost in a fire.

G'day Roger,
I would like your OK to quote from your Glossary in a discussion on engraving on the Orchid jewellery forum. The part in particular is the first sentance from the "Engraver" definition. The forum has someone who refuses to accept that any work done with a power assist handpiece in engraving but simply "metal removal".
With thanks in advance (pending approval), The Aussie Roger B

It's because of guys like you that guys like me can trim down the learning curve even more than it's already been trimmed since you learned. I know you didn't aquire your huge mass of knowledge instantly or easily and I really appreciate that you share it so freely. A sincere thank you, Dave Gibson
