Hi Smint

If you have a laser printer (or photocopier) try printing your pattern in reverse, clean the area to be engraved with lighter fluid then paint area with Daymar varnish (10% varnish to 90% lighter fluid mix) when varnish is tacky (2-3 min) position your print face down and dab area with cheap nail varnish remover using a soaked cotton ball .When soaked through rub print with burnisher being carful to cover the whole of the pattern firmly but not go through paper, dab with nail varnish remover again to free the paper and peel off , any remaining paper fibers can be washed off with water leaving you pattern on the metal. So far I've found this method to work well but if varnish is too thick the pattern can flake when scribed .When finnished wash ink and varnish off with lighter fluid

Hope this helps

He may be looking for photo-etching. Although he has been around for a while.
