Default lovers plate

I did this one a few months back and I am no longer very happy with it but it's some thing to share. I got this image out of a Dover book. I made the mistake of going for the dark to fast and now only have light medium and dark colors. NOT HAPPY particularly with the blanket and the gradation of shadows.
The calligraphy turned out ok and I like their hair. For a final sand finish I took a palm sander and some 2000 grit paper and very! quickly buffed over it... I don't know what I think of that. On the plus side I think an the new plate I have this figured out now... and I just probably jinxed my self
