Default First knife

Working on my first knife, took me about 3-4 days to come up with a design I was happy with but I think it's not too bad for my first knife.
What do you guys think?

Give me some pointers on how I can improve, I would really appreciate that!
Thanks for looking and commenting!

Is that the drawing on the knife or the final cut?

Had to ask. That was a compliment. The lines are so smooth and exact. Great job engraving! Was there a reason for the opening at the end of the design?

Thanks Roger, my reasoning for the open area is that it meant to be a negative space. It looked pleasing to my untrained eye. That's why I asked for feedback. You guys are not going to hurt my feelings if you point out my mistakes, I'm here to learn!

I am impressed for a first knife! The horizontal lined background is very nicely done.
