Default Pencil carving

I just got a used Zeiss 2000 microscope on Ebay. For giggles, I started playing around carving this pencil which ended up turning into a lengthy project. It's a Ticonderoga #2. The needles and burrs seen in the first picture have been ground into little scrapers and gravers I used to carve the graphite. Inspired by the work of Dalton Ghetti who is quite famous for working in this medium. Fun, but rather nerve wracking.
