Got my engraver yesterday, played with it today. Aluminum scrap. First some straight lines, then some rounds stuff. First pattern was my own signature and then a simple pattern I'll work more on later. Thanks Steve for the equipment I think I'm going to enjoy learning.

Playin/Practicing with some brass...before I go to sterling...to experiment with sizing and to see if engraving before hammer forming would really be a good idea :)

Fellow jewelry friend cast this (very porous) 14k ingot...asked me to engrave the aries sign on front and script B on back...phew: porosity is not your friend!

This was a commission for a pair of 1873 WInchester rifles. The pattern is L.D. Nimschke from the "Aldridge" rifle. The receivers were pretty pitted but engraving them probably helped preserve these rifles. The steel was a dream to cut. Please post critique or comments.
