Default New from Baltimore

Hey there everyone. I'm brand new to this site, and aside from engraving my name on my tools, I'm new to engraving. I work on cars for a living and I bought an electric engraver similar to this http://matcotools.com/catalog/product/D290/ENGRAVER/ some years ago specifically to put my name on my tools. But, having played around with it a little bit, I'm really interested in learning this art form that just doesn't seem to be in the automotive or motorcycle world as much as it used to.

Any advice for tools? I'm not sure if the electric engraver I have is adequate for any real engraving. And does anyone know of any classes in the Baltimore area? I tried looking, but couldn't find any
