Default And now my ring

Hello all,

Previously i have posted about my first serious practice which i engraved in a small plate.
That is decorating the back of my cellphone now.
But i promised to post a new thread when i finished my ring in wich i have engraved the same monogram.
It's difficult to catch it on photo so i made 3 from different angles.
I really like the design because a lot is happening in this tiny picture.
If you look good you'll see a dog's face and a bird in the G, and two hogs in the lower parts of the L,a horn in the low part of the G,a whip and a spear and finally a bag hanging in the top of the G.
So i'm quite happy with the result.
It's a true statement by Steve that it's easier to engrave on a small object than in a bigger.
Well that's it for this time.
I'm really enjoying this.

Kind regards from Holland.
Gerton

Look nice and clean engraving.... but if I can make a comment....
Maybe the horizontal line of the G is not long enough to maybe think that is a C.
When you make this kind of monogram I council you to show a drawing project to the customer... we know it is a G but the usual customer can maybe see a C.

Hi Roland, i agree with you about the G.
But it's just like the original drawing wich i took out of an old monogram book from 1906.
If a client would like to have the same, i certainly would addapt the G like you said.
It's my own ring in this case so i won't have issues about that.
Thanks for you response anyway.

By the way, i love your work.I've seen the video from the TV in Belgium.
