Default boker limited edition knife

I have started working on this knife recently and would very much appreciate some opinions on the layout, design and execution of the engraving. I have been working on improving my design and cutting and am very pleased with my progress but when I look at it I feel as though something is still not right. Any help, opinions, or criticism would be of great help to me.

It is well executed good shading not overfilled there's something with the background though I don't know what it is not even enough so it disappears maybe, I would be proud to do that kind of work.

Thanks Genec, I think I will go back and deepen the background some and see if that eliminates whatever it is that looks a little off to me. I will repost the picture when i get it lowered. If you get the chance maybe you can take a look at it again and see if that improves the work .

I lowered the background and straightened up a few edges. Any comments?

I like the overall layout of this project. There are a few flats on the outside of the cutting of your scrolls. these look like they could be corrected with careful trimming. Be careful not yo make the spines to thin when doing this however. Fred

Thanks Fred, great advice. I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out. I think that is what has been bugging me about it and I was busy looking for something else.

Looks much better, in photographing you might try putting up a tent of butcher paper and have the lights outside the tent, that should give you a very flat light that would show the shading without glare. Some of that is hard to do with these digital cameras were you do not have control of aperture and time. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
